Yaron Kaver is an Israeli-American writer, translator and musician.
He served in the Video Unit in the Israeli Air Force, studied at the Tel Aviv School of Screenwriting, and has a BFA in Film and Television from NYU and an MFA in Creative Writing from Sarah Lawrence College.
He has written and directed for Israeli television and translated screenplays for hundreds of Israeli films and shows.
His fiction has appeared in Ploughshares, Cold Mountain Review, Read Short Fiction, Fractal Magazine, Long Story, Short, MonkeyBicycle and Crack the Spine.
His short story And the Oscar Goes to Jail won first prize in the 2014 Mark Twain House Humor Writing Contest.
His short story I Only Had Eyes for You appears in the summer 2019 issue of Ploughshares.
His first album, “Away Too Long,” was released in October, 2018.
A single, "Leave in Place," was released in July, 2019.
An EP, "One Two (Three)," was released in December, 2019.
His second album, "I Will Take Your Time," was released in January, 2021.
